In the segment, Dr. Merhi discussed the egg freezing boom caused by the pandemic. Dr. Merhi stated, “I always tell patients that if egg freezing has even crossed your mind, freeze them right now. Don’t wait, even if you’re 29 or 30! The sooner the better, because the egg quality and quantity declines as a woman gets older. Sometimes after age 37 or 38, just a few months really matters a lot, and you can miss a big window for having a baby with your own eggs.”
