How pregnancy test works

Congratulations! Dr. Zaher Merhi was featured in the “Health” section of Forbes which went live on June 23, 2021.

In the feature entitled “When To Take A Pregnancy Test,” Dr. Merhi discussed when you should take a pregnancy test. Dr. Merhi stated, “For most women who have a regular menstrual cycle, a pregnancy test could be taken on the expected day of the period. The earliest [time to test] would be the expected day of the period; however, I usually tell patients to wait at least a few days (or one week) after the expected day of the period in order to lower the chances of having a false result.”

The feature credited Dr. Merhi as M.D., an OB-GYN, a reproductive endocrinologist and the founder of Rejuvenating Fertility Center.
