Why we are different…
Here are the 3 reasons why we started RFC…
- IVF started 45 years ago when the first IVF baby was born by a Natural IVF cycle, which means with No medications, No chemicals, No pills, No injections at all. Since then, most IVF centers have been using TOO MANY injections to stimulate the ovaries which cause a lot of discomfort as well as emotional and financial stresses. Based on the latest research that showed that heavy injections could potentially harm the quality of the eggs, RFC was created to use less invasive approaches: Natural IVF and Gentle IVF (also called Mini IVF). We offer IVF without any medications or with just oral medications (with or without minimal injections if needed) leading to an excellent successful pregnancy rate.
- A lot of fertility centers care tremendously about their national pregnancy success rates and rankings. They might reject you for IVF because of your age, your weight, your ovarian reserve (low AMH), or if you are a “difficult case to get pregnant.” RFC does not discriminate against anyone based on their hormonal level or their age; and believes that everyone deserves to have at least one chance using their own eggs. Our doctors have helped a lot of women who were told “you will never get pregnant with your own egg” have babies using their own eggs. RFC has No Age or Weight Cutoff!
- We strongly believe in research, science and education. Everything we do at RFC is backed by medical evidence and serious science. That is why, at the end of each page on our website, we have provided medical references. We also train the new generation of Reproductive Endocrinologists through the Fellowship training program affiliated with Maimonides Medical Center and SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University.

My Journey to Becoming a Fertility Doctor: Dr. Merhi’s Story
Growing up in Lebanon, a country full of history and resilience, I learned early on about perseverance and the power of hope—lessons that would shape my future. My father, a poet and economist, taught me the importance of storytelling and understanding the human condition, while my mother’s nurturing spirit showed me the importance of compassion and care.
As I watched my sisters—two of whom became doctors and moved to the United States—navigate their own paths, I saw how strength and resilience can transform lives. Their journeys inspired me to dedicate my life to making a real difference in the struggles that many women and couples face, especially those battling infertility.
When I moved to the U.S. for medical training, I initially envisioned helping women through complex diagnoses in gynecologic oncology. But as I grew closer to my patients, I felt their emotional pain—hope mixed with despair, the heartbreak of failed treatments, and the longing for a family that seemed just out of reach. I realized that what they needed most was not just medical expertise but a beacon of hope—someone who could understand their fears, their heartbreak, and their unwavering desire to become mothers and fathers.
That realization led me to reproductive endocrinology. I found my calling in helping women and couples who felt their dreams of parenthood slipping away, offering them hope, support, and the chance to create a family. Every patient I meet has their own story of hope, disappointment, and resilience—stories that inspire me to push boundaries and pioneer new treatments, like ovarian rejuvenation, scientifically proven to restore ovarian function and give women a second chance.
Opening Rejuvenating Fertility Center (RFC) during the challenging times of the pandemic was a bold step. My vision was to create a space where every woman feels seen, heard, and empowered—where personalized care and innovative treatments give new hope to those who’ve been told they can’t conceive. I understand the emotional weight of infertility, the sleepless nights, the tears of frustration, and the deep yearning for a family. That’s why I am committed to walking this journey with my patients, turning their dreams into reality, one family at a time.
To me, every success story is a testament to hope reignited. Every family created reminds me why I do what I do: to help women and couples find joy, fulfillment, and the miracle of motherhood. Because I believe that no matter how lost hope may seem, everyone deserves a chance to experience the wonder of becoming a parent—and I am honored to be part of their journey.
