"Breast-Safe" IVF Program
Your fertility goals still matter if you have an increased risk of breast cancer
Specialized Care for Your Unique Needs
At RFC, we believe that a history of breast cancer or elevated genetic risk should not automatically close the door on parenthood. Our dedicated "Breast-Safe IVF" program provides individualized fertility-preservation and IVF care — thoughtfully adapted for patients with personal or family histories of breast cancer.

Who This Is For
Women with strong family history of breast cancer or known genetic risk for breast cancer (BRCA carriers) who want fertility options with added safety.
Couples considering IVF/egg-freezing/embryo-freezing and want a specialized protocol that is mindful of oncologic risk.
What We Offer
Customized IVF Protocols without elevated hormones
High stimulation can lead to high estradiol which could be bad for breast cancer risk. RFC uses customized minimal-stimulation and hormone-smart approaches to minimize estrogen exposure. This will protect your breasts from being exposed to high hormones.
Estrogen-suppressing stimulation protocols
Egg or embryo freezing using minimal-stimulation approaches to minimize estrogen exposure. At RFC, we use Letrozole-based IVF (± low-dose gonadotropins) leading to estradiol levels that are often 50–70% lower than conventional IVF. Other protocols include Tamoxifen (± low-dose gonadotropins).
Low-Estrogen FET protocols
Frozen embryo transfer (FET) cycles that use Natrual Ovulation or Modified Natrual cycles avoiding exogenous estradiol administration and relying on the body progesterone production (vaginal progesterone supplementation might be provided in certain cases).
Breast-health Surveillance
Multidisciplinary coordination with a Breast Cancer specialist if needed.
Psychosocial Support
Dedicated counseling to help you weigh risks/benefits and make decisions with confidence.
Why This Is a Safe, Evidence-Based Option
Decades of research — including recent large-cohort studies — support the safety of fertility preservation for patients with family history of breast cancer as well as for breast cancer patients and survivors.
Protocols such as mild-stimulation, use of aromatase inhibitors (when appropriate), or "natural / minimal" IVF cycles can reduce hormonal exposure — making fertility treatment more compatible with their safety.
